The K Family | South Jersey Family Portrait Photographer

I always allow plenty of time at my sessions, so kids can warm up to the hyperactive stranger with the giant black camera around her neck (that would be me!). But I swear it took us about three seconds to have a gallery’s worth of images from the K family. Lila and Luka were pros — okay, not technically, but they should be. And they brought along their photogenic parents, too:)Here are a few favorites from their session…

I just love the light in these…

Thanks K family!

Cute Brothers! {Medford NJ Family Portraits}

I met the “A” family at one of my favorite local parks for a fun family portrait session. Their boys were adorable! Big brother Will is almost two, and an intrepid explorer — I think he covered every square foot of the park during our session. And little bro Jake is almost five months old and such a serious dude already — his expressions cracked me up! I had a blast chasing them all over the park, and hopefully they had fun too. Here are a few favorite shots…

Ready for Liftoff {Medford NJ Children’s Photographer}

I wanted to do something fun and colorful to match Abby’s personality — she’s only six but already has a killer sense of style! We grabbed a ton of balloons from Binkley’s 5 & 10 and headed over to Freedom Park for our session. I just love these photos!

…and last but not least, I love this one of her taking a break on the playground.

Thanks for being such an awesome model, Abbs!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow {Mount Laurel family portraits}

I knew this session was going to be a good time because…it’s my brother’s family! They’re a pretty creative and colorful bunch on any given day, and “family portrait day” was no different. They dressed as a rainbow, invaded my prop collection, and vamped it up like pros. (Madison, a.k.a. the one in blue, explained that they’ve been watching a lot of America’s Next Top Model. So I should probably thank Tyra Banks…thanks, Tyra!)

My prop collection is a hit with big kids, too. My brother was rockin’ the Elton-inspired sunglasses until he heard the words “facebook” and “tagging” — the glasses promptly came off. Also, can anyone guess what Nick’s theme is? Hint: It’s a pun.

And I try to steer clear of Photoshop tricks, but I figured I’d have a little fun with these…

By the way, that’s a peace sign, not the bird.

Hope you get a kick out of this set. I heart my family!

A Sort-of-Surprise {Marlton family portraits}

The “N” siblings wanted to surprise their parents with a family portrait for Christmas. Professional photos are always a great gift idea (hint hint) but the only downside was that I was dying to share their photos but couldn’t spoil the surprise. But a few days later, Kristie texted me: “We told my mom…you can post them…we were too excited!” Haha. So here they are!
