Keri and Emma | Sisters Session | Medford NJ Senior Portrait Photographer

Raise your hand if you hated your senior portrait. My hand is way up in the air. Somewhere in my keepsake box, there’s a yearbook photo of me wearing a navy blue faux-gown and casually holding a rose against my shoulder. You know, just the average day in the life of a high school senior. Blah.

Twin sisters Keri and Emma are graduating this year but weren’t huge fans of their stuffy school pics either. So they asked me to do a more fun, unconventional senior portrait session. We headed out to Kirby’s Mill, one of my favorite local spots. Here are a few of my favorites!

I love shooting seniors — it’s such an important milestone. Whether you’re headed to college or vocational school or the working world, you’ll change so much during the next few years. Senior photos are the perfect way to capture where you are RIGHT NOW, on the edge of something awesome.

Thanks Keri and Emma!:)

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun {South Jersey Photography Studio}

I kind of can’t believe this is the first time I’ve met Ruby and Josie — I’ve known their mom for years and years, ever since we worked together at Twist magazine. But I’ve been following their cuteness on Facebook, and I was so excited to have them come in for a session, especially since they drove all the way up from Maryland! These two are a hoot — so much fun, loads of LOLs, and fabulous fashion sense. Love it.

Look Out, Broadway… {Medford Headshots}

I think I’m an awesome singer, but no one else really agrees with me. Perhaps they’ve never heard how I amazing I sound when I sing along with Avril Lavigne in my car. Christina, on the other hand, is an awesome singer, and everyone agrees. She rocked as Chava in Lenape’s production of Fiddler last year, and she’ll be auditioning for bigger stages after graduation. So she and her friend Rachel came in last week to get their professional headshots done — hopefully, step one in a long career on the stage. These two shots are my favorites:

Cute Runs in the Family… {Medford Photography Studio}

Pssst, a little fact about my studio that not everyone realizes — if a sibling tags along to a photo shoot, they’re probably going to wind up in front of the camera at some point! Cooper came in for a four-month photo shoot last week, and his big sister Kira hopped in for a few pics. She was having so much fun hamming it up for the camera that we did a few solo shots of her, too. What a photogenic brother and sister!
