Lora + Charles | Ocean City Boardwalk | Jersey Shore Wedding Photographer

Usually, the bride’s house is a flurry of activity in the hours before a wedding. So I was surprised when I walked into Lora’s house and found her chillin’ on the couch — seriously, there’s no other word for it besides chillin’ — snapping camera-phone pics of her already-dressed bridesmaids. Oh, and her wedding dress was hung in the perfect spot on the window with soft light beaming in behind it. (And you should’ve seen the look on the priest’s face when the limo rolled up 20 minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start. “The BRIDE is EARLY?!” he asked.)

Anyway. Even beyond being the most insanely prepared newlyweds-to-be in history, Lora and Charles were awesome to work with. They did a fun “sort-of-first-look” before the wedding, snapping a few pics together without actually seeing each other. Then it was off to the ceremony at Our Lady of Sorrows in Linwood, followed by photos on the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, then back to the Blue Heron Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor City for the reception. Yep, you need to be pretty organized to pull that schedule off.

A few favorites from the day…

Here are the “no first look” shots…:)

Gorgeous lighting in this church — dark in the pews, skylight over the altar.

Off to the O.C. boardwalk!

Everyone braved the midday sun (it was HOT!) for some fun photos on the beach…

…then back to the boardwalk for a few last shots…

…before heading to the reception.

Love these sparkler shots!

Thanks for choosing me to shoot your wedding, Lora and Charles!:)

Leslie + Joe | McLoone’s Pier House, Long Branch, NJ | Jersey Shore Wedding Photography

Leslie and Joe got married at the gorgeous McLoone’s Pier House right in the middle of this summer’s seemingly never-ending heat wave. I think I drank about 15 glasses of water that day, but seriously — there’s no better place to spend a sweltering summer day than the Jersey Shore. And it didn’t hurt that this was a fun group to hang out with. Here are a few favorites.

I was so excited when I spotted this lifeguard chair across the beach. I think the bridal party thought I was nuts, but I knew it would make the perfect location.

Loved the details at the reception. Every time I thought they were done adding cool beachy artifacts to the welcome table, Leslie would say, “No, wait…there’s more!”

Unfortunately, after an long week of last-minute planning, the heat took its toll and Leslie wound up leaving the reception early to visit the ER! But she still managed a smile for this shot — she’s sipping a Gatorade in a back room of the venue, where they set up a makeshift sweetheart table for her to cool off. Talk about finding the humor in any situation:)

Even though the guests of honor had to take a slight detour, the party kept going.

The first dancing shot makes me laugh every time — the setup, the dip, and the crash. They were having so much fun.

Leslie and Joe, thanks so much for choosing me to shoot your wedding! Hope you love the photos as much as I do:)
