Wine and Dine {South Jersey Wedding Photography}

I knew this wedding was going to be fun to shoot — from the moment I arrived, the bride and bridesmaids treated me like an old friend. Oh, wait — maybe that’s because we’ve known each other for decades. It was fun to see so many faces from my childhood, and Beth and Ryan are such a fun couple. I had a hard time narrowing down so I decided to just bombard everyone with photos. Ready?

That’s her mom in the photo, getting ready for her own wedding in front of the same vanity. Made me tear up a little.

Love this shot of Beth:

The awesome bridesmaids:

The ceremony and reception were at the gorgeous Valenzano Winery in Shamong. (Super-tasty wines, too.) Here’s Beth having a paparazzi moment while walking onto the grounds of the winery:

We did a “first look” between Beth and Ryan. Love this tradition — kinda selfishly, since it usually means more time for photos before the ceremony!:)

Time to make it official! One of Beth’s brothers walked her down the aisle, and another provided the music.

The grounds were gorgeous and the sun even hid behind the clouds for a little bit. So we got lots and lots and lots of photos!

Finally, we headed over to the reception area…

One fun tradition — instead of clinking their glasses to request a kiss, guests were told to get up and sing a love song! Here were two brave groups who took the challenge. (They sang “You’ve Lost that Lovin’ Feeling” and “That’s Amore”!)

Thanks for letting me capture your wedding day, Beth and Ryan!

Mellow Fellow {South Jersey Newborn Photographer}

Newborn sessions can be unpredictable — getting them to look so sweet and peaceful usually requires a whole lot of snuggling, rocking, and shushing and milk, milk, milk. But baby Ryan was just plain chill. He slept a little bit, checked out my camera, checked out his cool knit hat, went back to sleep for a little bit, checked out his “big sister” (the adorable pup Lily, below), went back to sleep for a little bit, and so on. I’m not sure he made a peep the whole time! Needless to say, I loved working with him. And it didn’t hurt that he’s a little cutie patootie.

Let’s start at the very beginning — the very, very beginning — with two quick belly shots of his mama! She managed to keep his gender a surprise until delivery day…

…and here he is!

I think these black-and-whites are my favorites from the whole session. And I call shenanigans on Ryan’s mom! No one’s hair should look that good 10 days after having a baby!:)

So happy I could capture this brand-new cutie!

Best Beach Wedding Weather EVER! {Jersey Shore Wedding Photographer}

We seriously couldn’t have ordered a better day for this beach wedding. After an unusually HOT HOT HOT start to the season, Colleen and Bryan got cloudy skies and mid-70′s weather the whole day. There were a few raindrops just before the ceremony started — but that’s good luck, right? — and then it went back to being perfectly cool, breezy, and beautiful. A great day to be at “work” while barefoot in the sand:)

There are A LOT of images in this sneak peek so I’ll just get to it.

Colleen and Bryan wanted to do some photos before the ceremony, so we did a “first look” at the beach house. Here they are, seeing each other for the first time as bride and groom:

After a few family shots, we headed down to the beach with the whole bridal party for photorama…

I have to say, this one is among my favorite bridal portraits ever:

Then we took a short break for…you know…THE WEDDING! It was a beautiful ceremony right on the sand.

Just couldn’t resist when I spotted the sign on this beach shack:

The ceremony site was decorated with these pretty parasols, so we did a few dramatic shots with the bridesmaids:

Love love love these:

At the beginning of the day, Colleen told me there were some “his and hers” porta-potties at the reception site and she thought it would be funny to get a shot in front of them. Um, YES! My kind of people:)

And then we headed off to the reception. Check out the dessert table — yum!

Thanks for letting me capture your day, Colleen and Bryan!
