The Sweetest Thing {Burlington NJ Newborn Photographer}

I got to meet Baby Olivia last week, and…what a sweetie! She was so cooperative, so mellow, and so expressive. Most newborns, after they hit the two-week mark, aren’t too psyched about the curled-up, sleepy poses. But Olivia even dozed off for a few minutes and let me capture some sleepy moments for her mom and dad. Here are some of my favorites.

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge {Best Face in January}

Just for fun, I decided to enter this week’s photo challenge at I Heart Faces. (If you love looking through photos, you could probably kill an hour or three at that site.) I chose this photo of my seven-month-old, Dash, because he has the happiest smile — and he’s always smiling. And he’s still in that awesome phase where he actually wants to smile for the camera! I know I only have a few more months until he starts running in the opposite direction when he spots my camera:)

No Place Like Home {South Jersey Family Portraits}

This family session reminded of a cute, hand-painted wooden sign hanging in my parents’ house — it says “All because two people fell in love.” As someone with an immediate family of 29 (and that’s just my siblings and their kids!), I love big families! The M family wanted to get a group shot while they were all in town for the holidays, and I had a great time working with them to get some fun, natural, not-your-average family photos. It was freezing (why is it always freezing this winter?!) and I think the two kids from Florida might have actually started turning into Popsicles — but they toughed it out, and we got some great shots. Here are my favorites!

Her Name Is Lola… {South Jersey Pet Portraits}

Here’s one for the animal lovers! Lola was a little skeptical of my hardwood floors at first, but once she got used to the clickety-clack, she was a perfect model. Love her puppy-dog eyes! Her not-so-furry siblings, John and Jen, brought her in for a few family photos. Here are some of my favorite shots!

(And yes, the title is a Barry Manilow reference. I used to be obsessed with that song! So cool. I know.)

Cake Smash! {South Jersey family photographer}

I love when I get to photograph a family as they grow. I shot Paul and Graceanna’s holiday photos last year; then their little brother Leeland arrived a few weeks later, and I did his baptism photos and his nine-month photos. And now, here he is — a year old already! The three of them came in for some family photos, followed by a celebratory cake smash.
