Am I the only one who was traumatized by “picture day” in school? One click, and no matter what the photo looked like, it would be immortalized in the yearbook forever. My seventh grade photo was so bad that I entered it in a “beauty nightmares” photo contest — part of a promotion for the movie Death Becomes Her. I didn’t even have a good story to go with it. I just sent the picture, like, “Here ya go!” And guess what? I placed second to a woman who got chicken pox on her wedding day. It was that bad. (But I got to go to an early screening of Death Becomes Her, woohoo!)
Anyway. Needless to say I’m not a huge fan of the blue background and the assembly-line style of shooting. So I recently held a preschool mini-session as part of a promotion to get my name out to local preschools. And not surprisingly, it was cuteness overload. Here are some of my favorite images from the day. It was so hard to choose!
If there were Baby GQ magazine, Brayden would totally be on the cover. How cool is his tie?

Sofia needs a frequent Kiwi-er card. This was her third shoot with me so she’s like an old pro.

It was easy to get James to smile — he’d just gotten back from riding a real train and was still on a Thomas-the-Tank-Engine high.

Lily was the star of one of my favorite shows, Full House. Ok, not really, but doesn’t she look like Mary-Kate (or maybe Ashley) Olsen way back when? Her mom says she gets that all the time.

Mikey was a little skeptical of me, but he warmed up eventually! I don’t know if Santa follows my blog, but FYI, he’s in the market for a Pillow Pet panda.

Stella is so cute and has so much ‘tude in her poses. She was smiling in every…single…frame. Someone get this girl an agent!
