Announcing a tasty deal for seniors (and anyone else feeling glam)! | South Jersey Senior Portraits

Hey.
You.
Grab some friends. Pick a spot. Get treated like the rock stars you are.
For the foreseeable future, I’m letting up to five friends split the normal cost of a two-hour session with high-res files on disc ($750).

Two friends, that’s $375 each (a bargain!).
Three friends, that’s $250 each (a steal!).
Five friends, that’s just $150 each (highway robbery!)

Four friends would be $187.50 each. Kind of a weird number, but that’s okay too.

Here’s the full scoop (the ice cream jokes never stop!):

Kristen | South Jersey Senior Portrait Photographer | Philadelphia Magic Gardens

Catching up on blogging again! This was one of my favorites shoots last year. Kristen is formerly a member of the local band Short Lived Affair, who I shot just before they played Bamboozle in 2011. This time around, her mom asked me to do some senior portraits of Kristen with her guitar to honor her love of music. I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot — one of my favorite spots in Philly, the Magic Gardens. If you haven’t been there, it absolutely lives up to its name. What Isaiah Zagar did with the space — and what the community did to protect it — is just an awesome story.

I can’t even begin to describe it and do it justice, so here are the photos.

P.S. It’s my dream to shoot a wedding here. I’m just throwing out those vibes into the world in case someone wants to make it happen;)

Rachel and Annie | Best Friends Session | South Jersey Photography

I can’t believe I forgot to blog this session, because I LOVED this idea. A few months ago, Rachel emailed me and said that her friend Annie’s birthday was coming up, and she thought it would be fun to book her a mini-session to fill her zillion picture frames. I thought that was such a unique idea for a present — a besties session. Can we please make this a new trend in photography? Because it was so much fun to shoot.

Psst….you might remember the clover photo above from this tutorial I wrote for I Heart Faces on removing green color casts from images.

P.S. Since I’m always squawking about safety and Rachel is an enviro-champ, I want to assure you all that we spent about 15 minutes after this last shot crawling around on the ground, plucking Silly String out of the clover until we were sure that every speck was gone. Leave nothing but footprints, etc, etc.

Thanks Rachel, for coming up with this fun idea!:)

Keri and Emma | Sisters Session | Medford NJ Senior Portrait Photographer

Raise your hand if you hated your senior portrait. My hand is way up in the air. Somewhere in my keepsake box, there’s a yearbook photo of me wearing a navy blue faux-gown and casually holding a rose against my shoulder. You know, just the average day in the life of a high school senior. Blah.

Twin sisters Keri and Emma are graduating this year but weren’t huge fans of their stuffy school pics either. So they asked me to do a more fun, unconventional senior portrait session. We headed out to Kirby’s Mill, one of my favorite local spots. Here are a few of my favorites!

I love shooting seniors — it’s such an important milestone. Whether you’re headed to college or vocational school or the working world, you’ll change so much during the next few years. Senior photos are the perfect way to capture where you are RIGHT NOW, on the edge of something awesome.

Thanks Keri and Emma!:)

Woohooooo Summer {LBI Family Photographer}

This shoot was extra-fun for two reasons:

1) Sara
2) Luke

Sara and Luke are my cousins, and they wanted to do a sibling session on Long Beach Island as a (slightly belated) Mother’s Day gift to their mom. And since our family has been hanging out on LBI for 20-some years together, their favorite spots are my favorite spots.

We started out at the original Ron Jon’s surf shop (sorry, Farias fanatics!) for some beachy-bright images…

Next, we headed to the beach at Ship Bottom! And seriously, they killed the jump shot. I’m giving them a gold star for this one!

Then it was off to Flamingo Golf in Ship Bottom. We made a pact not to discuss the final scores of this game. Suffice to say they were an embarrassment to our family name. But at least we got some cute photos, and got to drown our sorrows in free lollipops at the end.:)

These images involved absolutely no trespassing at all. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

And finally, we did some fun photobooth-style shots at the warehouse behind Ron Jon’s. Sara and Luke have a lot of stellar poses in their repertoire! Seriously — I love how much personality they brought to the shoot.

Thanks guys! Hope you had fun with your paparazzi cousin:)
