Mary + Gregg + baby-to-be | South Jersey Maternity Session

I’ve known Mary since the pre-K era, and we were even roommates during freshman year of college, so I already knew she was NOT camera-shy:)Sure enough, as I mentioned on my Facebook page, she showed up in wedge heels that I’m not sure I could navigate on my best day, and went tromping into the woods with me despite being 33 weeks pregnant. (Hey, there was some perfect light coming through the trees. We HAD to.) And Gregg was an awesome sport while we dragged him all over the farmstead. Here are a few of my favorites…

Thanks Mary and Gregg! Hope you have a relaxing few days before the real fun starts!:)

Andrea | Medford NJ Maternity Photography

When Andrea emailed me to set up a photo session with her growing family, she mentioned how much she loved the old wooden barn doors at Kirby’s Mill. So, I knew we’d get along swimmingly. She brought along her husband Tim and their adorable two-year-old Elana, and we took advantage of all the cool nooks and crannies at the mill. By the way, she’s eight months along in these images — can you even believe it? Try not to hold it against her:)In all seriousness — I loved this session and every image from it. (And just wait ’til you see the newborn sweetness that followed…)

Belly Mini…for a Mini Belly {Medford NJ Newborn Photographer}

I was not a glowing pregnant woman. Not even close. For starters, I gained half my body weight. No exaggeration. So I want to know how my cousin Steph — who is in the same gene pool, darn it! — can be so adorably teeny-tiny when she’s nine months preggo. Not fair, I tell ya!

Here are a few faves from our maternity mini-session…

Good luck Steph — can’t wait to meet the newest cousin!

Counting the Minutes {South Jersey Maternity Photography}

We scheduled this session right around the 37-week mark — a little later than I usually do belly sessions, so I kept hoping that the little bean wouldn’t make a surprise appearance before we got the chance to shoot. But I guess I hoped a little too hard, because he’s still hiding out in there:)Here are some of my favorite shots. Love the colors in these — yay, it’s officially starting to feel like spring!

I drove past this old firehouse and have been itching for an excuse to shoot there. Mike works with the local fire department, so I figured it was a perfect match!

Shannon brought pink and blue balloons, since they’re going to be surprised in the delivery room…

…and just a few glam mama-to-be shots.

Shower Time! {Jersey Shore Baby Photographer}

Shannon’s one of those girls who was just meant to be a mama, and now it’s only a matter of weeks until her dream comes true! And judging by the amount of love (and, um, presents) at this shower, I’m not the only one who can’t wait to meet Baby M.

I was loving all the crafty details — like the diaper motorcycles, baby cupcakes, and “hidden chickies” — but I think the standout was the CAKE! Every single thing in that “diaper bag” is edible, from the bib to the rattle to the rubber duck. And if you look closely, you’ll notice that the leather actually shimmers. Talk about skills.
